The clocks are skipping ahead in a little over a week, so you know what that means! Longer days, colourful flowers, sunny afternoons in the park – who else cannot wait for spring? It’s been a long, cold winter and I’m ready for some sunshine. Whether we actually get it is another story, but a girl can dream, right?
All of this got me thinking about spring and summer clothes. I’m not one to entirely replace my entire wardrobe every three months, but I do like to buy a couple of pieces when a new season rolls around. Spring is particularly tricky, though, because it very rarely gets warm here in the UK. So I find it’s more about clever layering and playing with colour more than anything else.
I’ve been poking around the ‘New in’ sections of a number of websites, and what has been the standout for me has been the amount of yellow on there. Seriously. So. Much. Yellow. I love the colour, so I don’t mind it at all! I’m also a big fan of red. I know it’s a big seasonal, Christmassy colour, but I want to incorporate it more into my spring wardrobe.
Here are all my favourites in one bright and beautiful moodboard.
I’ve been looking for the perfect summery white dress for ages, and I simply love this one by Anthropologie. Also, how cute is the polka dotted ASOS top? I’ve also been seeing that yellow FCUK bag everywhere, but it’s currently low in stock on the ASOS so I am this close to actually buying it.
Have you been doing a spot of new season window shopping? Or actual shopping? Let me know in the comments!

The UK has so far had a glorious summer. The last few weeks have been filled with hours of sunshine with not a raindrop in sight. So with yet another day of 28 degree weather forecasted, we loaded up our car yesterday morning and drove down to Southbourne Beach near Bournemouth. It seems as though…
Happy bank holiday weekend, everyone! Hope you have all had a good one. The weather actually held up really well despite dire thunderstorm warnings, which was a welcome surprise! Today’s post is part two of my collaboration with Zaful. If you’d like to see part one, please click here. They very kindly sent over a…
In this post, I have collaborated with Zaful – a stylish, affordable clothing brand with an enviable array of beautiful clothes. I hadn’t heard of this brand before, so when they reached out to me, I went straight to the Zaful website to have a little browse and I was blown away! They’ve got a…
Over the last month of so, I’ve made a few cheap and cheerful spring additions to my wardrobe. When it comes to shopping, I’m not one to buy a whole new set of clothes EVERY new season. And lately, I’m trying to organise my wardrobe so that I make the best use of the clothes…
There used to be a time when I favoured chunky jewellery. Statement necklaces, beaded bracelets and dangling earrings were my jam. I probably used up half my baggage allowance anytime I flew somewhere on my accessories alone. But, as with most things, my tastes and preferences have evolved and changed over time. My jewellery over…
